Pushkar Lake
The Pushkar Lake is considered as one of the most sacred spot in India. it is believed that the lake wascreated by the lotus petals, which fell from the hand of Lord Krishna. Every year during Kartik Purnima (Month of Oct\Nov when moon appear in full size) pilgrim come from across the world for take a holy dip in holy Lake. The tranquil and beautiful lake amidst the hills has fifty-two bathing Ghats, built around the lake. The Lake is semi-circular in shape. The water around each Ghat is supposed to have special powers.
Pushkar Fair
Pushkar fair is one of its kinds in the world. The fair is organized in the month of Kartik (Oct.\Nov.) every year on the bank of Pushkar Lake in Ajmar district, India. During this fair tourist is interacted with women dressed in mirrored skirts and vivid shawls lay out embroidered cloth, Jewellery, pots, and ornaments. The Cattle, poultry, sheep and goats are entered for competitions, and prizes given for the best displays of fruit and vegetables. The fair is also famous for trading of cattle during festival.
